Prospective Students
The Henderson State University Band Program has a place for YOU! We offer opportunities for performance in six ensembles: Chamber Winds, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Band, Concert Band, Marching Band, and the Reddie Pep Band. Henderson State University music majors experience an intense, well-rounded, and interactive learning environment driven to prepare students for successful careers in music education and performance. For students considering a major other than music, the band program at Henderson is a way to continue with music after high school, get involved with college life, and have fun performing to enthusiastic audiences.
2010 AUDITION DATES & SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
HSU Band Audition Days for performance scholarships have already passed. However, it is not too late -- IF YOU ACT QUICKLY!
Please email Mr. Leyva, HSU Director of Bands, at band@hsu.edu to set up an audition for a band scholarship. Most students prepare All-Region sheet music for their scholarship try-out. There still is scholarship money available, but you must ACT NOW!
All Henderson State University students (music majors and non-majors) are eligible for talent-based band performance scholarships.
